Welcome to Two Uses Tuesday!

 

Hello there =)  Are you ready for the holidays?  I thought I was… it just snuck up on me.  Most of the shopping is done and aside from the tree the house is as decorated as it’s going to get.  Do you have any holiday organization tips?

We are on Week 11 of Two Uses Tuesday!  Thank you to my returning friends/crafters and welcome to the newbies!  Last week’s link up party had 23 posts shared… that seems to be where we’re topping off at.  Can we beat it this week?  Keep linking and sharing =)

If you’re like me, all that pretty Christmas scrapbook paper calls to you from the shelves in the craft stores.  I don’t scrapbook, so… all that paper sits there, looking pretty.  Until now!  Kelly has found us a fun and simple origami tutorial.  Some folds and snips bring us all that tree perfection you see above.  Kelly added the glitter flair to the edges.  Stop by Kelly’s blog to say hi and get the tutorial.

Sarah Celebrates Re-purposed Holiday Decor

Under my tree has been bare for years.  I couldn’t find the right tree skirt or get myself to pay what stores wanted for them.  Carolyn from CCMcAfeePerspective found away around the pricey store bought tree skirts with a re-purposed item: curtain panels!  Whether you re-use old curtains you just couldn’t part with or you go buy a couple panels, it’ll probably still be cheaper.  Carolyn got a few uses out of these curtain panels; curtains, tree skirt and photo shoot backdrops!
