Cindy, upcycleddesignlab.com, added a transfer to give an old shirt new life.

Thanks ladies!  I hope you and your friends stop back this week =)  Let’s see what I’ve been up to, shall we?

#2usestuesday Pill Bottle Upcycle

Do you or a member of your family take medication that cause all these little orange bottle to pile up?  What do you do with them? Our dog takes thyroid medication so every couple of months we have a new empty bottle to toss. What to do, what to do…

I don’t know about you, but switching from purse to purse (especially going from large to small) can be daunting.  What makes the cut?  Crap, my whole makeup and or emergency bag doesn’t fit…  I have found a solution: the pill bottle!  With just a few supplies we can glam up the ordinary orange bottle and corral our emergency supplies with style.

#2usestuesday upcycling and recycling
Supplies I used: Washi tape, Glitter, Mod Podge

Choose your covering: washi tape, paint, twine.  Pick your poison.  I went with washi tape.  Onto the lid.  Again, pick your poison.  Craft paper, glitter, a button.  I covered my lid in mod podge then covered generously in glitter.

#2usestuesday Sparkle Top Pill Bottle
Ta Da! Sparkle top pill bottle

I try to keep small purse supplies in the small purse at all times.  This way I just have to add ID, money and the evenings touch-up makeup. Here’s what my sparkle top pill bottle holds:

  1. Bandaids.  These ones happen to be of the Spider Man variety.  Tre Chic
  2. Bobby pins. For those stray hairs.
  3. Halved cotton swabs.  You can’t let that mascara stray from your lashes
  4. Tylenol and Tums.

Now it’s your turn!

What are you creating?

  1. Hi Sarah,

Thank you for the feature last week. I wanted to let you know that I tried to add your buttons to my side bar but they didn’t work. I have added other buttons before without any trouble so I am not sure if you are missing some code or if the problem is on my end. I will try to add you buttons again next week. Thanks again.

    1. You are most welcome! I’ll check out the buttons… They have been giving me the darnedest time. I think I make a new one soon anyhow. Thanks for the support!
