Two Uses Tuesday Link Up #3

Welcome To Two Uses Tuesday Week 3!

It’s Tuesday and we are  ready to get crafty!  Two Uses Tuesday entries TRIPLED from week one to week 2!  Let’s do it again this week.  Make sure you share, share, share!  If you are joining us for the first time, be sure to check out Week 1 and Week 2.

Just a note for next week’s link up

All crafts will be encouraged!  Not just up-cycles and re-cycles =)

This weeks features have earned their spotlight by having their links clicked the most.  A big congrats to Cindy of UpcycledDesignLab with her 2nd feature and Christie of SparklesOfSunshine!  Let’s see what they upcycled for us:

Over at SparklesOfSunshine.com, Christie used some old polo shirt collars to craft SUPER adorable dog collar. I love how polished and sophisticated those pups look =) Christie even told her readers that she linked up over here. Thank you!

Thank you ladies for sharing with us!  Don’t forget to let everyone know you were featured =)

My project this week was more of a re-design/facelift than an up-cycle.  I have a thing for the barrel jar candles from Partylite.  There’s usually a 3 for X amount deal that I can’t resist and they are an adorable size.  After the candle is gone I use them all over my house:

  • Burn new candles
  • Hold change
  • Mini succulent planter
  • Earring holder in my medicine cabinet

In all cases, they’ve remained a plain glass jar. BOR-ING!  We’re fixing that today; blah to glam in just a few items, steps and minutes.

I had originally planned on just using the twine and keeping it simple, but it was lacking something… So a couple of fabric flowers with a rhinestone center finished it off =) Sorry, no in progress pictures of that.  It happened on a whim as I was putting the jar away.

Now it’s your turn!  What have you been working on?
