Hello there =)
Have you been celebrating the good in your life? Personally, sitting down and writing about it has made me more purposeful in finding the good in my life and taking the time to enjoy it. I’ve even been scheduling in good times. Last minute even!
This week I’m celebrating my mom. Monday we took a paper crafting class together then tomorrow AND Saturday we’re celebrating her birthday. =) Other than a couple Instagram snaps at the class, there probably won’t be much photographic proof… We’re working on liking having our picture taken.
Unfortunately, with the good there will be the bad. It’s a part of life that can’t be helped. Hopefully, our new found celebrating of the good will outshine the bad. But sometimes it doesn’t. And that’s what this week’s prompt is about.
The BAD Things That Keep You Up At Night
(and how you quiet your mind)
Now, I know it’s not good to dwell on the bad… But sometimes you just gotta get it out in the open, tackle it and tell it to go to you know where.
So what’s been keeping you up at night? What are those bad, nasty, no-good thoughts that keep you from getting a good nights sleep?
Keep your #FWPinspired notebook by the bed this next week. Let’s get those bad thoughts out of our head and on paper. Hopefully it’ll help settle your mind for the time being.
Later, go through the list one bad thing at a time and address it. Why has it been troubling you? What can you do about it? Feeling hopeless? Chat with a trusted friend about it. Maybe a new perspective will help you find a resolution.
Here’s to clearing our mind one bad thing at a time and getting some rest!
