By now, I’m sure you’ve seen the Viraltag banners on my sidebar and at the bottom of my link up party posts. Viraltag is a tool (and paid service) I use to schedule all my pins/re-pins, recently began using for Instagram and I’ve begun dabbling with it for posting to my Facebook page.

With these statistics it should be no surprise that the most visual social networks have seen the greatest growth recently. Pinterest, Tumblr, and Instagram saw the most user growth in 2014.
How it works
Viraltag supports scheduling to Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and LinkedIn. You can connect multiple accounts on any social channel depending on your plan. I literally signed up just so I could schedule to two business Pinterest accounts that I had.
Viraltag gives you several options for finding your own content to share.
Do you share images from the same places time and time again? Add the RSS feeds from those blogs or websites under the Content section. A feed of the most recent pictures/graphics will appear in your dashboard and you can schedule directly from there.
Search the popular images section to find photos being sharing by other Viraltag users. You can even browse for content by category or search by keyword.
- Simply click on the image you would like to share. The link is automatically included to direct traffic to the original source.
- Make any edits you need to the caption.
- Select the accounts you would like to post it to and the time you would like it to be posted by using the clock in the bottom left corner.
If you use the ‘Add to Queue’ button, posts will go out based on the Posting Schedule tab of the Dashboard. You can edit that as you’d like or use the suggested times by Viraltag.
Schedule content from anywhere on the web with the Viraltag Browser Extension.
It’s just like using the Pinterest Pin It Button, the Viraltag button allows you to bring up all the photos on any web page and simply click to schedule one or multiple to your social networks. You can even use this button to schedule your re-pins!
I completely removed the Pinterest extension once I started using this service.
You can also search Instagram with Viraltag and re-gram straight from your dashboard. Just search for a keyword or a hashtag. Then select the photo you want to re-gram. The original caption will automatically be added to your description along with the user’s handle who shared it.
Like other Instagram “schedulers”, the Viraltag app will give you a notification that you have an Instagram image to post. They are the only service I have found that will auto-copy the description/caption for you to use when it opens in Instagram.

Share your own content
Viraltag also makes it super simple to share your own content. Simply drag images in the box from your computer or upload from where ever you store your images (Facebook, Dropbox, Flickr, or Google Drive)

Viraltag offers editing features, so you can edit and enhance any photo you share before you schedule it. With the Canva integration you can create graphics from scratch within the program.

I’m especially fond of the bulk scheduling. I tend to like a ton of pins then go back and re-pin them later. With Viraltag, I can schedule them all at once but not overwhelm my followers with one pin after another.
