Hello there =)
I think fall is officially here weather wise in Western NY. Cold, crisp air perfect for chunky sweaters and boots. Much earlier sunsets causing me to be in my jammies by 7pm if I have my way. This weekend is supposed to be a chilly one, potential for some snow flurries. Might as well stay inside and write… Am I right?
Last month, I did a mini interview with Ashley B, the founder of my fave Twitter chat #fireworkpeople.
One of the questions I asked her was, what sparked her inner fire? Her response:
For me, I think my fire sparked when I really started to believe that I was enough. When we don’t believe that, it is hard to discover our fire at all, because we think that we are missing something or in lack. Community was one of the biggest catalysts to me walking in my unique fire. We need people. We need people to see in us what we can’t even see yet.
Ashley’s interview and stumbling upon some art journal prompts inspired this weeks prompt.
We’re getting the hang of this journaling thing right? Good. This week I’m going to keep it really simple; all you’re going to get is one word.
Belief in this one word sparked a fire in a woman to create a whole community of dreamers, creators & collaborators. Imagine the world if all women would just believe that they are enough.
Belief in yourself doesn’t have to change the world, it just has to change you. Tweet that.
You are enough.
I believe it.
Now you just have to.
I’d like to invite you to a special event, the #wearefireandlight campaign, brought to you by no other than Ashley B. Three days of women declaring their fire and how they’re going to own it. Join me?
